Garrett was originally drafted in 2004 by the Seattle Mariners out of Cypress Junior College. He decided to turn down the Mariners offer and instead went on to attend San Diego State University. After the 2007 college season, he was drafted again and signed his first professional contract with the Miami Marlins. During a successful 8 year professional career, Garrett made a number of All-Star teams, played in the Arizona Fall League and won a number of league championships as a relief pitcher. He was inducted into Norco High School’s Hall of Fame in 2010.
Garrett arrived at Paragon post playing career, and after founding his own business and scouting for the Cleveland Indians upon retirement.
