Joe founded Paragon Sports International with a focus on service of our clients. Quality representation is the foundation of Paragon Sports. Joe, approaching his third decade as an agent, maximizes his clients’ talents on and off the field. His record in the past 27 drafts, winning landmark arbitration cases, and negotiating record breaking extension and free agent deals is second to none. Moreover, he has been a practicing attorney for over 30 years, with a long history of successful and vigorous representation.

Joe grew up in San Marino, CA. He graduated from Brown University, where he was a starting safety on the University’s football team in 1984 and 1985. Joe later received his Law Degree from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles. Joe’s knowledge of labor law issues and the various Collective Bargaining Agreements in professional sports, coupled with his success as a trial lawyer, equip him with the skills necessary to obtain maximum value for his clients.

He has served as a member of the Major League Baseball Player’s Association Advisory Board. He is a member of the Sports Lawyers Association, State Bar of California, Los Angeles County Bar Association, Beverly Hills Bar Association, and The Wealth Counsel. He has been an expert panelist at the Loyola Sports Law Institute, the USC Gould School of Law Entertainment Law and Business forum, and the State Bar of California’s Negotiation For Lawyers: Lessons From Baseball Salary Arbitration Cases. Joe has also served as an Adjunct Professor of Sports Law at Loyola Law School and USC Gould School of Law, and most recently taught Sports Law at UCLA School of Law in spring 2026.

Garrett is an integral part of the Paragon Sports International management team. He oversees all aspects of the Amateur Draft, Free Agency, Salary Arbitration, Marketing, as well as every other part of the day to day operations of Paragon. Garrett has cultivated relationships at the highest level including MLB Club Owners, General Managers, Presidents of Baseball Operations, Scouting Directors, Cross Checkers, as well as Area Scouts. Garrett knows everyone in the baseball industry and has utilized those relationships to maximize earnings for all clients of Paragon whether it is on their amateur draft signing bonus, their multi-year contract extension, their salary arbitration contract, their free agency deal, their equipment deal, or even their trading card deal.

Garrett was originally drafted in 2004 by the Seattle Mariners out of Cypress Junior College. He decided to turn down the Mariners offer and instead went on to attend San Diego State University. After a successful 2007 college season, he was drafted again and signed his first professional contract with the Miami Marlins. During a successful 8-year professional career, Garrett made numerous All-Star teams, played in AAA, participated in the Arizona Fall League and won a number of league championships as a relief pitcher. He was inducted into Norco High School’s Hall of Fame in 2010.

Garrett’s success on the baseball field drives him to achieve success on behalf of Paragon’s clients. He has been in the shoes of every single client having been through the grind of professional baseball. He is a relentless communicator and always has the information to provide to a client, family, fellow Paragon agent, and even national and local beat writers. Garrett has become an extension of the family for each of his clients with Paragon.

Brian Grieper has been a licensed MLB Certified Agent and Attorney for over 20 years. He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the Paragon Sports International Team after partnering in 2009. Prior to joining Paragon Sports International, Brian established his own company while in law school at the University of Miami, GPR Sports Management, Inc. and represented his first client as a second-year law student. He has represented over 300 professional baseball players worldwide in his career.

Brian’s passion and approach to athlete representation is best captured by an article written for ESPN by Jim Bowden, former Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Cincinnati Reds and Washington Nationals and current National Writer for The Athletic and host on SiriusXM: “Grieper stresses open dialogue, intense preparation and creative analytical and statistical analysis. He develops personal relationships with clients through trust and loyalty.”

Utilizing his extensive knowledge of the Collective Bargaining Agreement, salary arbitration system and NCAA rules and regulations, Brian has negotiated and carefully crafted contracts with MLB teams for drafted players, rookies and veterans; presented cases to MLB’s arbitration panel on behalf of his clients; and has assisted players and their families through the entire draft selection process. At Paragon, Brian has been an integral part in negotiating over $1 Billion in Major League and Amateur Draft Contracts while being known as an expert in contract creativity to better position his clients.

Brian is a graduate of the University of Miami School of Law, is a licensed attorney in the state of Florida, and is a certified agent with the MLBPA. He completed his undergraduate degree at the University of South Florida, obtaining his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. He also is an Ambassador for Team Israel Baseball, having represented multiple clients on the Olympic and WBC teams, while also being a guest speaker at Team Israel Baseball events. Brian lives in South Florida with his wife Michelle and two children, Sophie and Brielle.

Craig joined Paragon Sports International at the conclusion of the 2020 World Series, bringing with him a wealth of experience and a proven track record of success. As a standout athlete in baseball, football, and basketball, he earned All-Conference and All-State honors. His collegiate athletic career began at Wabash Valley Junior College, where he excelled in both baseball and basketball before committing to Texas Christian University to focus solely on baseball. Despite a near career-ending injury, Craig’s determination led him to the University of Central Arkansas, where he completed his college baseball career. He later played professionally in the Frontier League, until a shoulder injury forced his retirement.

With over a decade of experience in the agent industry, Craig has become an invaluable asset to the Paragon team. He is highly regarded for his keen talent evaluation skills and has built strong relationships with colleges, professional scouting communities, and throughout the entire baseball network. Craig’s exceptional ability to connect with people is a cornerstone of his success. At Paragon, he is deeply involved in all aspects of client representation, from amateur athletes to seasoned professionals. Over his career, he has represented numerous first-round draft picks and Major League players securing millions of dollars in contracts for his clients.

Craig holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Marketing, Management, and Business Law. He resides in the Dallas, Texas area with his son, Jet, and daughter, Brooklyn. His dedication to his clients and his passion for the game continue to drive his success at Paragon Sports International.

Ethan joined the Paragon Sports International team in September of 2023, bringing with him 6 years of professional baseball playing experience and 7 years of experience working as an MLBPA Certified Agent. Ethan was drafted and signed by the Kansas City Royals in 2012, where he played 6 seasons with several organizations, making it to AAA and finishing his career with a full season in Mexico. In 2017, Ethan chose to turn the page and retire from his professional playing career. Upon retiring, Ethan became an MLBPA Certified Sports Agent to best help his former peers as well as future professional athletes navigate their journey through amateur and professional baseball.

Ethan prides himself on his relationships with his clients, his desire to be the best advisor for his current and future clients, attention to detail, and his extraordinary work ethic. At Paragon, Ethan focuses on contract negotiation, marketing, and player recruiting. Ethan enjoys creating partnerships with brands and corporations that align with Paragon’s athletes. While Ethan has been a MLBPA certified agent, he has played a pivotal role in over $250,000,000 in contract extensions and over $1,000,000 in marketing contracts.

Ethan studied Business Administration with a concentration of Sports Entertainment and Marketing at California State University, San Bernardino while receiving Freshman All-American and 1st Team All Conference Honors.

Grant joined Paragon Sports International with extensive experience in the game. Grant was a catcher at the University of Akron. After graduation, Grant founded Elite Performance Institute in Atlanta, a training facility geared towards helping amateur and professional athletes during their off seasons. Grant has worked with many professional athletes such as World Series Champion Will Smith and Super Bowl Champion Andrew Adams while in the sports performance industry. His desire to enrich athletes’ lives off the field has brought him numerous accolades in the realm of sports and business. Subsequently this has allowed his players to focus on their performance on the field while maximizing their financial opportunities within the game.

At Paragon, Grant is involved in all aspects of client representation including: Spearheading Marketing/Equipment Contracts, Diligent Arbitration Research and Preparation, Extensive and Complex Contract Negotiation, Free agency contracts and contract extensions totaling over $400,000,000, and Oversight and Preparation of Amateur Draft Advisees and Draft Negotiations. Grant’s success at Paragon includes representing numerous Top Ten overall draft picks such as Jacob Berry and Travis Swaggerty. In Grant’s six years at Paragon, he has negotiated $48,000,000 in amateur draft signing bonuses for Paragon clients. Considered by MLB executives as one of the most prepared and diligent negotiators and research analysts, Grant has established himself as a leader of the new upcoming industry player representatives.

Grant is originally from Peachtree City, Georgia. Grant’s impressive educational background includes a degree in Sports Management from the University of Akron, a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Grand Canyon University, and another Master’s degree in Sports Law and Business from Arizona State University’s Sandra Day O’Connor Law School. He now resides in Phoenix, Arizona with his wife Danielle and son Baker.

Rick Vazquez brings a deep-rooted passion and extensive background in baseball to his work at Paragon Sports. Confident and easygoing, Rick excels at guiding families through the complex journey of pre- and post-draft life, helping players make informed decisions at every stage of their careers. A native of Long Beach, California, Rick chose to stay close to home by attending California State University, Dominguez Hills, where he played collegiate baseball and earned a degree in Business.

After college, he joined Major League Baseball, working closely with former major leaguer and current VP of Youth and Facility Development, Darrell Miller, to help operate Urban Youth Academies across the country. Eager to deepen his understanding of the game, Rick transitioned into a scouting role with the New York Mets. Under the mentorship of Andrew Toussaint, now the Mets’ Director of Scouting, Rick sharpened his eye for talent evaluation.

Driven by a long-standing dream to become a sports agent, Rick was introduced to veteran agent Brian Goldberg through a former coach. In this role, he supported and assisted Brian with several players through the pre- and post-draft process, along with helping maintain major league clients. In 2019, Rick stepped away from agency work to focus on mentoring young athletes more personally. He dedicated his time to helping them prepare for college and providing one-on-one training, ensuring they had the support needed to succeed both on and off the field.

After connecting with Joe Longo, President of Paragon Sports, Rick made his return to the agency world in 2021. Their strong rapport and shared vision reignited Rick’s passion for the industry. At Paragon, Rick specializes in draft analysis, player valuation, recruitment, and contract negotiation. He continues to serve as a trusted advocate and mentor, guiding aspiring athletes and their families through the complexities of building a successful career.

Ty Evans played outfield for the University of Florida from 2022 to 2025. At the 2023 Men’s College World Series he hit a record five home runs and was named to the All-Tournament Team. Having just been through the draft process from the player’s side, Ty brings that first-hand perspective to the players and families he works with at Paragon.

Abbie Frank holds a Master’s of Sports Law and Business from Arizona State University’s Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law and previously worked with the ASU baseball program. At Paragon she works across the roster on client service, recruiting and athlete support.

Annie is a respected leader and collaborative teammate with a passion for building authentic brand partnerships. Throughout her career, she has had the privilege of working with countless clients—aligning them with strategic initiatives that drive meaningful results. With more than a decade of experience at New Balance, Annie co-led efforts in MLB player marketing, partnership development, and athlete servicing—creating impactful connections between the brand and top professional athletes. She also spent several years in the licensing and merchandising space, collaborating directly with Major League Baseball clubs to strengthen brand alignment and drive fan engagement. Her expertise spans sports marketing, partnership development, sales, athlete endorsement management, client servicing, and product management.

Beyond the business, Annie is deeply committed to enhancing the charitable impact of the communities she serves, leaving a positive and lasting imprint on the world. You’ll often find her volunteering with local organizations. A Massachusetts native, Annie grew up on the East Coast with three older brothers—2 of whom played professional hockey—which helped shape her lifelong connection to sports. She holds a business degree in Sport Management from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and has been immersed in the business of sport for much of her life. She now resides in Jupiter, Florida during the winter and outside Boston, Massachusetts in the summer with her goldendoodle pup.

Hailey joined the Paragon Sports International team in 2021 as the Director of Client Services and quickly established herself as a key leader within the company through her diverse skill set and strong work ethic. In her role, she oversees and manages the Player Services department, coordinates social media development for Paragon clients, assists with player marketing initiatives, and supports each Paragon agent in day-to-day operations. She also works closely with agents and clients to ensure proper equipment fulfillment and overall client support. Additionally, Hailey has played an instrumental role in helping Paragon clients secure over $3 million in trading card deals through partnerships with Topps, Panini, Leaf, and Onyx.

Prior to joining Paragon Sports International, Hailey attended the University of San Diego, where she played Division I softball while earning her bachelor’s degree in Sociology with an emphasis in Law. After graduation, she worked as both a Behavioral Therapist and Legal Assistant at a Southern California law firm before ultimately pursuing her passion for working in professional sports—specifically baseball.

Baseball has always been a major part of Hailey’s life. She grew up around the game alongside her two younger brothers, Tyler Freeman (2017 MLB Draft, Cleveland Guardians—now with the Colorado Rockies) and Cody Freeman (2019 MLB Draft, Texas Rangers organization). In December 2023, she married her college boyfriend, Shane McGuire, who was drafted by the Oakland Athletics in 2021. She also has a brother-in-law currently playing in Major League Baseball. Through the unique experience of supporting multiple family members throughout their professional baseball careers, Hailey understands both the demands of the game and the day-to-day lifestyle that comes with it. This perspective allows her to serve as a valuable resource and trusted support system for Paragon clients and the Paragon team alike. She takes great pride in her work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to build meaningful relationships with those she works alongside. Originally from Rancho Cucamonga, California, Hailey now resides in Austin, Texas with her husband, Shane, and their son, Bodi.

Maria has been a trusted member of the Paragon Sports team for over 30 years, working closely alongside founder Joe Longo. A licensed paralegal, she currently leads the administrative operations of our Santa Monica office, ensuring that day-to-day functions run smoothly and efficiently. Over the years, Maria has transitioned from Client Services into a leadership role within Administrative Services, where she now oversees all operational aspects tied to client endorsements, contracts, invoicing, and marketing agreements. Her strong organizational skills, integrity, and commitment to follow-through ensure that Paragon clients receive all payments and benefits outlined in their endorsement contracts.

Known for her reliability, discretion, and unwavering work ethic, Maria is the ultimate problem-solver—responsive, thorough, and always one step ahead. She serves as a vital liaison between Paragon clients, agents, and brand partners, facilitating seamless communication and long-lasting partnerships. Beyond her professional strengths, Maria takes a deeply personal approach to her work. She is passionate about the development of each player, taking pride in watching them grow and achieve their dreams on and off the field. Her dedication is rooted in a lifelong love of baseball—growing up cheering for the Pittsburgh Pirates and idolizing Roberto Clemente, she brings the same values of humility, excellence, and service to her role every day.
